Founding Partner at Burtt-Jones & Brewer
Currently I am working with Her Majesty’s Treasury (HMT) and The Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) on the redesign of their workplaces. To better support their hybrid working model, with their smarter-working programme.
With my Burtt-Jones & Brewer hat on, I have designed spaces for some of the world’s largest and best known companies. From Google and Yahoo! to the Bank of England and Shelter.
My day to day see’s me advise at Executive Board level and to key stakeholders, regarding workplace strategy and design. Referred to as a Critical-Thinker by one client as a Third-Eye by another.
My twenty years’ experience has seen me challenging how space can be structurally changed and re-organised, and where internal, physical barriers can be altered to enhance the environment.
A BSc (Hons) in Industrial Design (Designer of the Worlds first ‘beach-friendly’ wheelchair.) I believe that creativity shouldn’t cost the Earth; neither should the products we buy, or the environments we design.
If that’s not enough, I also volunteer for the charity Whizz-Kidz and Forestry England. A committee member, a mentor at Shift MS and Parish Councillor. I am also partial to a bit of racing on one of my bikes or running in the woods. And in my ‘spare’ time I can be found juggling my time between my wife, two children, dog and cat (not literally) (honest).
