Alan Bainbridge FRICS

Alan Bainbridge is the Director of BBC Workplace, overseeing more than 150 locations throughout the UK. With over four decades of experience in construction, property, and facilities management, Alan has a comprehensive understanding of the market, encompassing aspects from ownership to occupancy and the entire supply chain. He manages an in-house team of 30 professionals who, in turn, oversee an external team of over 800 across the UK.

Alan spearheaded the delivery of MediaCityUK in Salford, an award-winning project for the BBC, established a new headquarters for BBC Wales in Central Square, Cardiff, and played a key role in securing a proposed new center in Digbeth, Birmingham. He is a fervent proponent of the impactful role property can have in business when managed effectively, favoring the expertise of construction professionals over product sales. His commitment to British manufacturing and fabrication is evident in his work. Additionally, he contributed to the committee for BS PAS 6463, which focuses on Inclusivity in Workplace Design.

His duties extend to directing outsourced suppliers and partners in various domains such as Estates Management, Facilities Management, Property Projects, Sustainability initiatives, and Workplace design.
