Amrit Seera
Architect, Vabel
Amrit Seera is an architect at Vabel, working to deliver high-quality private and affordable housing in London. Amrit is a self-proclaimed Maximalist and Pop Culturalist, who seeks to bring joy, colour and consideration through careful details and an appreciation for how residents and communities will live, play and work in the homes she designs.
Amrit studied at the University of Creative Arts and the University of Greenwich for her Part 1 and Part 2 studies, where she developed and researched her interest in Architecture’s intersections with Popular Culture. This culminated in a thesis exploring the future of the Shopping Mall and High Street. Before Vabel, Amrit worked at Studio Partington and Curl la Tourelle Head Architecture, working with local authorities to deliver high-quality and sustainable social housing.
Outside of practice, Amrit is currently a mentor for the People Of Colour in Architecture programme and the University of Greenwich Alumni Mentoring. Amrit appeared alongside other industry professionals in The Image of Women in Construction in 2018, appearing in Construction Management magazine to champion women, especially women of colour, in entering a career in the Construction industry.
