Initially an indoor chair crafted in wicker by a company within the same group as Expormim, Lapala risked being forgotten. However, in 2015, Expormim rejuvenated the chair for outdoor use, utilizing durable materials like nautical rope and stainless steel. This revitalization also included enhanced ergonomics for improved comfort.
Marking its quarter-century milestone, Expormim has introduced a new indoor version of Lapala to its portfolio. This move underscores the company’s commitment to blending tradition with innovation, delivering exclusive, high-quality furniture with minimal environmental impact. Each chair demands eight hours of meticulous craftsmanship to weave its shell with premium natural wicker, ensuring its fit in contemporary spaces without sacrificing its traditional essence and authenticity.
